Many in the Western world feel that they don’t need God. They are successful and self-sufficient. But we all need God at some point.

I’m Wilma and I was caring for a beautiful elderly couple who were both suffering with dementia.

Kevin, the husband, had been a highly successful businessman. He had attended the Anglican church only for weddings and funerals.

As Kevin was sensing that he was losing his memory, he asked me to help him.  I assured him that God could help and offered to pray for him.

He eagerly accepted! So, I asked him to pray after me, “Dear God, please forgive me of all the wrong I have ever done. Come and fill me with Your peace. Amen.”

Kevin’s wife then said, “That was beautiful, can you pray that prayer with me too?”.

Praise God, both of their spirits came alive that day!

The next day Kevin felt restless and wanted to leave. Later, after sitting quietly, he confided that God told him, “Don’t go, be at peace”.

I related this story to another successful businessman who was going through a challenging season.

God loves and tenderly cares about what you are going through.

I assured him that God loves and tenderly cares about what he is going through. I asked if I could share from my phone a wonderful promise. I read from my Bible app., “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.”

Then I ask if I could pray for him and give God, the Creator of the universe, his concerns. He indicated he would like that. I prayed something like this: “Thank you, Jesus, for comforting and being with Mike during this difficult time. Free him from all his concerns, worries, fears and stresses and fill him with heaven’s peace”.

I then asked if he felt better. He affirmed he did, so I asked, “Would you like me to show you how you can have that peace living inside you permanently”?

He became a child of God that day.

Would you like to become a child of God and receive God’s peace too?

A brief presentation on ‘How to become a child of God’ will show you steps by step how to receive God’s peace.
